Karate Canines and Cancer Benefit

The Inaugural Karate Canines and Cancer Benefit was held in June of 2023.  This event was inspired by our close friend Tina Honkus.  She is the founder of the Wings of Hope Cancer Benefit and cancer survivor.  That event started in 2009 and Team MMA performed a demonstration as part of the day's events.  Master Miller and his team decided they wanted to do more, so since then they have raised over $27,000 and are still counting.  This all began as a simple shirt and change challenge with the students.   In the spring of 2022, Tina announced that it was the last Wings of Hope event.  The Team at Miller's Martial Arts sprung into action because they didn't want it to end.  This is when the block party benefit was born.   The community embraced the event and we will continue to expand and Kick Cancer and donate to the Humane Society.  This is done through generous donations, shirt and mug sales, auctions, food sales, basket parties and so much more.  Find out how you can help by reaching out to Team MMA.
